How TradeBidit Works

I’m a tradesperson. How much do I need to pay to use TradeBidit?

If you’re a tradesperson looking for a quote on building materials or trade supplies, TradeBidit is completely free to use. All you need to do is sign up for a TradeBidit account and submit a request.

I’m a self-builder. Can I use TradeBidit?

Self-builders, home improvers and DIY’ers are all able to use TradeBidit for free. We understand that your time can be limited. Don’t waste time calling around – just TradeBid it!

I’m a merchant. How much do I need to pay to use TradeBidit?

If you’re a UK builders merchant or trade supplier, you can try TradeBidit for 3 months at no cost. There’s no contract or charges during this time.

How do I sign up?

To sign up to TradeBidit, simply click “Sign Up” and enter your details. You won’t need to enter your details more than once, meaning you’ll have more time to get the job done.

What materials can I request?

When you make a request for a quote, you’ll need to select a product category. You can use TradeBidit to request prices on building materials, electrical products, garden & landscaping materials, plumbing materials, plastics, fascias, guttering, groundsworks & drainage, roofing, timber & joinery, and plant & tool hire.

How do I submit a request for building materials quotes?

To submit a request, simply log into TradeBidit. You’ll then need to select a product category, add a description of your request and click “Submit”.

Where do the quotes go?

When a merchant responds to your request, you’ll get an email notification. Just log back into TradeBidit to view the details and compare the quotes you’ve received.

How do I choose my preferred building materials quote?

When you’ve received quotes from merchants, TradeBidit display them in a way that’s easy for you to compare prices and delivery information. Simply select your preferred quote and click “Confirm” to submit it. Your name and contact details will not be shared with merchants you do not select.

I’ve chosen an offer. What happens now?

Once you’ve chosen your preferred offer, your contact details and the merchant’s contact details will be shared with each other. The merchant can then contact you so you’re able to place an order with them directly.

I’m a merchant. Can I get more local customers?

You can use TradeBidit to filter the requests you receive by location. If you select “Local”, you will receive pricing requests that are within a 20km radius of your site. We can adjust this radius to suit your delivery area.

I’m a merchant. Can I get more customers across the UK?

If you’re a national merchant or trade supplier, you can select “National” and you will be able to receive quote requests from tradespeople or self-builders across the country.

I’m a merchant. Can I dispute an accepted quotation that did not become a sale?

Yes, for accepted quotations over £250. You can raise a dispute and we will investigate.
